Wedding Week Events

Greg and Sara are both wearing aloha shirts and sunglasses and smiling at each other. They are on the pier at Scripps, and La Jolla's sandy cliffs are in the background.
HOCKEY

Thursday, July 27

7:00 - 9:00 pm

Gordon H. Paquette Ice Arena, Leddy Park
Burlington, VT

The first event of the weekend is an evening hockey game. All are welcome - no experience is required! This will be a casual, no-contact game where anyone who does not know how to play hockey (or ice skate) can have the chance to learn. If you are not an ice person, you are welcome to drink hot cocoa on the sidelines or in the stands.

Ice skates will be available for rent at the arena. For those planning to play, we suggest that you bring your own helmet and gloves (any type of either is fine). While we will have some helmets and gloves available, it’s always best to skate in gear that fits you well. Pads are not required, but please bring them if they will make you more comfortable. Note that it is family tradition to dress in costumes for hockey (onesies count)!

If you get lost on the way to the arena, please contact Stuart Meyer at (802) 343-8955.

LAKE DAY

Friday, July 28

10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join Sara, Greg, and family for a day at the lake! We will be on the shore of Lake Iroquois with boats, boards, and beverages available for everyone. This will be a casual time to hang out near the water and (hopefully) get some sun in before the wedding day. Sandwich materials will be provided for lunch. Note that Sara and Greg will be there for most of the day - drop in whenever!

Please bring sunscreen and towels if you have those items available. Note that this event is weather-dependent and the given the recent floods that have impacted the state of Vermont, the final location is to be determined. Check this website and your email for updates!

If you get lost on the way to the lake, please contact Kate Meyer at (802) 318-7542.

WEDDING

Saturday, July 29

3:00 pm until done

The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will be held in the same place - at Greg’s family home in Williston, Vermont. This will be an indoor-outdoor event. Dress code is cocktail attire or dressy casual. Most of the wedding venue is grassy - so please wear shoes that will be comfortable for standing and walking on soft ground. Note that Vermont has recently been impacted by heavy rains, which may have affected the roads along your route to the wedding.

You can park at the top of Partridge Hill, directly next to the venue.

BAGEL BRUNCH

Sunday, July 30

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

We will close out the weekend with a bagel brunch at the same place as the wedding. Bagels, coffee, and tea will be provided.

Once again, please park at the top of Partridge Hill Lane. For any questions please contact Stuart Meyer at (802) 343-8955.
